innova has opted for a dedicated IT environment that is operated in two of its own data centers. The design of the environment complies with ITpoint standards and was defined together with innova. It includes x86 and storage components from Lenovo/IBM, VMware as a hypervisor, Citrix in conjunction with thin clients for publishing applications and data and Veeam for replication and backup/recovery. Exactly which components are used, however, is much less relevant for innova than ensuring IT operations without its own resources. The outtasking model that innova and ITpoint have jointly defined is based on ITpoint's ORIA principle, which provides exactly the IT services that the innova business requires on a modular basis.
