Flexible operating model with minimal effort

Since 1975, Flagfood has specialized in the trade of frozen fruits, fruit purees and fruit juice concentrates for the food industry throughout Europe and overseas. With ORIA by ITpoint, Flagfood has a future-oriented and flexible operating model that is an integrated solution with minimal effort for Flagfood.

Flagfood has a long-standing, dynamic partner network and sources its raw materials worldwide from all agricultural regions with a focus on Turkey, Greece, Italy, Spain, Morocco, Poland, Hungary, Serbia, Thailand, Indonesia, China, Chile and South Africa.

Initial situation

For Flagfood, a solid IT infrastructure for office automation and a stable ERP system are essential for trading in raw materials. It should be efficient and support business and trade.

Solution

ITpoint provides Flagfood with infrastructure, software and operation services based on the ORIA principle. The platform used is the highly available shared cloud environment across two data centers - with replication, backup and recovery in between. This platform is based on the latest WAN, LAN, computing and storage technologies as well as software services. It is also already equipped for Flagfood's future requirements. Individual applications such as operating systems, Active Directory, file, print and Microsoft Exchange services, as well as the ERP solution Microsoft Dynamics AX, are made available with ORIA "virtually dedicated" as a service. These applications and services are an integral part of the complete service scope and are published and made accessible to users using Citrix XenApp and Windows Terminal Services.

Advantages for flag food

ORIA is a future-oriented and flexible operating model and, as an integrated solution, involves minimal effort for Flagfood. ORIA reduces IT complexity and at the same time increases availability, security and mobility. The flexible and modular service structure makes it possible to react quickly and easily to new business requirements. This flexibility supports economic efficiency. In addition to the manageable, precisely plannable operating costs, the approach naturally also reduces investment costs (CAPEX) to a minimum.
