Aproda with "DIAS" as a SaaS solution from the ITpoint cloud infrastructure

Aproda has been putting its heart and soul into the development of its own ERP system DIAS for many years. DIAS has also been available as a SaaS solution for some time now. New from ITpoint's cloud infrastructure. Thanks to the partnership between Aproda and ITpoint, DIAS remains a 100% Swiss product even in the SaaS model.

Obtain as a service instead of maintaining yourself

DIAS is a fully integrated, modular, all-in-one ERP solution. Of the approximately 100 DIAS customers, a quarter already rely on the SaaS approach and no longer maintain their own infrastructure. In the initial phase of the SaaS offering, Acommit operated its own infrastructure for this purpose. Although Aproda offers IT solutions from a single source, the operation of data center infrastructures is not part of the company's focus. Instead, the IT specialist from Hurg relies on established cloud platforms and builds its own services on them. This also applies to DIAS. Aproda has therefore implemented the transition to ITpoint's "ORIA Prime Managed Services" model. As a result, all DIAS SaaS customers now receive the software as a service from the ITpoint cloud infrastructure.

Why ITpoint and ORIA?

Aproda is a close Microsoft partner and makes extremely active use of Microsoft's Azure platform. DIAS, however, uses the IBM i operating system and, as Swiss business software, requires Swiss platform operation. For Aproda, the choice of the future DIAS platform was therefore limited to Swiss providers with the relevant expertise. ITpoint is the number 1 for IBM i in Switzerland, has an established service management system, many references and can provide the platform for DIAS as an off-the-shelf service according to the cloud model. The decision in favor of ITpoint with the ORIA model was therefore a logical evaluation decision.

Range of services

The Aproda ERP system DIAS is based on the IBM Power architecture and the IBM i operating system. The Power platform is an integrated component of the ITpoint cloud platform, which is operated in two Swiss high-security data centers in accordance with ISO 20000 standards. Aproda uses redundant Internet access, several logical IBM i partitions as well as replication mechanisms for mirroring between the locations and additional data backups. ITpoint ensures monitoring, reporting and support with the ORIA concept.

Combining strengths

Thanks to the partnership with ITpoint, Aproda has transferred the operation of the IBM i cloud servers to a specialist for data center infrastructures and can therefore guarantee maximum availability and security. For ITpoint, the proximity to ERP specialists such as Aproda is fruitful and instructive and in turn benefits other customers.
