Aproda's "DIAS" as a SaaS solution based on the Sharp DX cloud infrastructure
For many years, Aproda has been pouring Swiss passion into the development of its own ERP system, DIAS. DIAS has also been available as a SaaS solution for some time now. It is now available via Sharp DX’s cloud infrastructure. Thanks to the partnership between Aproda and Sharp DX, DIAS remains a 100% Swiss product even in the SaaS model.

Obtain as a service instead of maintaining yourself
DIAS is a fully integrated, modular, end-to-end ERP solution. Of the approximately 100 DIAS customers, a quarter have already adopted the SaaS model and no longer maintain their own infrastructure. During the initial phase of the SaaS offering, Acommit had operated its own infrastructure for this purpose. Although Aproda offers IT solutions from a single source, operating data center infrastructure is not part of the company’s core focus. Instead, the Horgen-based IT specialist relies on established cloud platforms and builds its own services on top of them. This is also the case with DIAS. Aproda has therefore implemented the transition to ITpoint’s “ORIA Prime Managed Services” model. As a result, all DIAS SaaS customers now receive the software as a service from the Sharp DX cloud infrastructure.
Why Sharp DX and ORIA?
Aproda is a close Microsoft partner and makes extensive use of Microsoft’s Azure platform. DIAS, on the other hand, uses the IBM i operating system and, as Swiss business software, requires the platform to be operated in Switzerland. For Aproda, the choice of a future DIAS platform was therefore limited to Swiss providers with the appropriate expertise. Sharp DX is the number one provider for IBM i in Switzerland, has an established service management system, numerous references, and can immediately provision the platform for DIAS as a service using the cloud model. The decision to choose Sharp DX with the ORIA model was therefore a logical outcome of the evaluation process.
Range of services
The Aproda ERP system DIAS is based on the IBM Power architecture and the IBM i operating system. The Power platform is an integral part of the Sharp DX cloud platform, which is operated in two Swiss high-security data centers in accordance with ISO 20000 standards. Aproda uses redundant Internet connections, multiple logical IBM i partitions, replication mechanisms for mirroring between locations, and additional data backups. Sharp DX ensures monitoring, reporting, and support through its ORIA concept.
Combining strengths
Through its partnership with Sharp DX, Aproda has entrusted the operation of its IBM i cloud servers to a specialist in data center infrastructure, thereby ensuring the highest levels of availability and security. For ITpoint, the close collaboration with ERP specialists such as Aproda is both stimulating and educational, and in turn benefits its other customers.

Solutions for our customers

CordenPharma
Following the takeover of three production sites from Vifor Pharma, CordenPharma had to give up the existing IT services with their employees for the three sites and restructure the division. Managing everything alone was not an option.

Sanitized
When Erich Jau talks about the "Exchange Online / Office 365" project, this migration sounds like child's play. The prerequisite was careful preparation and implementation with the support of ITpoint. The bonus: The useful collaboration tools from Microsoft.

Innova
innova insurance solutions are lean, standardized and inexpensive. Defocusing has no place in innova's everyday life. This also applies to IT. IT is important and critical, but not a core competence.
