The AI Fortress: Achieving Digital Resilience Through Data Sovereignty
Today, AI needs more than just innovation—it needs security, control, and digital resilience. The joint webinar "The AI Fortress: Achieving Digital Resilience Through Data Sovereignty," hosted by Cloudflare and ORIA by ITpoint Systems AG, addressed precisely this tension.

The focus was on how companies can make productive use of modern AI technologies without losing control over their data, processes, and security standards. After all, in the age of generative AI, not only are the possibilities growing, but so are the demands on data protection, compliance, and cybersecurity.
Cloudflare impressively demonstrated how AI workloads can be run securely and efficiently on a global infrastructure. It became clear that AI can no longer be viewed in isolation—rather, it requires a resilient platform that combines security, performance, and data control. Particularly exciting were the insights into Cloudflare’s global network, with several hundred locations worldwide, as well as the possibilities surrounding AI inference at the edge. Companies benefit from low latency, high scalability, and GDPR-compliant data processing all at once.
The issue of data sovereignty was equally central. The Data Localization Suite demonstrated how companies can continue to benefit from global cloud platforms without losing sight of regulatory requirements. Regional data processing, controlled key management, and EU-only data processing lay the foundation for trustworthy AI solutions in Europe.
In the second part of the webinar, ITpoint Systems presented its security approach centered on ORIA—a Swiss operating model for secure, agile, and comprehensive IT services. It became clear that data sovereignty is not merely a technical issue, but also encompasses trust, reliability, and operational security. With modular managed services, Swiss data centers, and ISO-certified processes, it offers companies a stable foundation for modern cloud and security architectures.
Particularly exciting was the combination of Cloudflare’s global infrastructure and the locally operated managed services provided by ORIA by ITpoint Systems AG. It is precisely this blend of international performance and Swiss data control that demonstrates what modern AI strategies could look like in the future: secure, resilient, and sovereign.
