25 years of experience, a new chapter as Sharp DX
This year marks two important milestones for us: As of August 3, we are officially operating as Sharp DX (Switzerland) AG , and on October 26, we will celebrate our 25th anniversary. Just under a month after the name change, we are therefore looking back not only on our first few weeks under our new name, but also on 25 years of company history and, above all, on our shared future.

A name change is more than just a new name. It highlights what has evolved over the past few years: As a Swiss organization, we are now an integral part of Sharp’s European IT services business. Under the shared Sharp DX (Digital Experience) brand, we combine our experience, expertise, and resources with those of our European colleagues. In this way, we combine consulting, implementation, and operations into a comprehensive offering for digital transformation, with local support in Switzerland and access to specialized expertise throughout Europe. Our heritage and the expertise we’ve built up over more than 25 years remain the foundation for the next phase of our development.
Continuity Remains Crucial
Our proven structures, personal points of contact, and the high quality of our services will remain in place. Our customer relationships, contracts, services, and operating models will continue as before. Responsibility for the Swiss market will also remain in Switzerland. The trust that our customers and partners have placed in us over many years is both a commitment and a source of motivation for us.
The name change is therefore not a farewell to ITpoint, but rather a logical next step in our development. We are combining our many years of experience in Switzerland with the additional opportunities offered by a European network.
Rooted locally and connected across Europe
Sharp DX Switzerland remains the primary point of contact for consulting, operations, and the further development of customer solutions. At the same time, we can draw more specifically on specialists from the European Sharp DX network.
This expands our capabilities, particularly in the areas of business applications, ERP, CRM, data, and AI. Together with Sharp DX France, we now also cover seven Microsoft Solutions Partner designations: Business Applications, Data & AI (Azure), Digital & App Innovation (Azure), Infrastructure (Azure), Modern Work, Security, and Private Cloud. Customer management and overall responsibility remain with our team in Switzerland.
Swiss Expertise for Europe
The Swiss organization has many years of experience operating business-critical IT, cloud, and managed service environments. One of its particular strengths is providing reliable cloud services with data storage in Switzerland, high service quality, and clear operational responsibility.
Our ORIA Enterprise Cloud therefore remains a key component of our Swiss strategy. ORIA continues to stand for secure cloud solutions, local data storage, and reliable managed services.
We will be bringing this expertise to the European organization even more strongly in the future. Switzerland plays a key role within Sharp DX in the areas of sovereign cloud and managed service models.
Our Look into the Future
In the coming months, we plan to further strengthen collaboration within Sharp DX and leverage our European expertise specifically for our customers in Switzerland. Our focus will be on the reliable operation of IT infrastructures, cloud and managed services, cybersecurity, modern workplace solutions, and the integration of cloud, data, and security.
The productive use of artificial intelligence is also gaining importance. Our focus is on secure applications that deliver measurable benefits. It is crucial that these solutions be meaningfully integrated into existing IT and data environments.
Our commitment remains clear: We combine technologies into integrated solutions, operate them over the long term, and reliably take responsibility.
25 Years of Experience and a New Chapter
The transition to Sharp DX comes at a special time: On October 26, we will celebrate our company's 25th anniversary.
This anniversary gives us an opportunity to look back on our history and, at the same time, look ahead to the future. The experience we’ve gained over the past 25 years, the expertise of our employees, and our long-standing relationships with our customers and partners form the foundation for our future.
As Sharp DX Switzerland, we are embarking on the next chapter of our history: firmly rooted in Switzerland, connected across Europe, and ready to actively help shape our customers’ digital future.
