Security Operations Team Leader

Your role

In this role, you will be responsible for the technical and managerial leadership of our Security Operations team—the operational hub of our Security Services. You will develop our employees, foster technical excellence within the team, and ensure that security initiatives are implemented and managed in a structured, effective, and forward-looking manner.

Working alongside internal departments and external partners, you will help further develop our security services and contribute to the long-term expansion of our security operations. In doing so, you will combine leadership, coaching, and technical expertise—and create an environment where both people and initiatives can grow.

Your main tasks

• Technical and managerial leadership of the Security Operations team
• Professional development of team members and promotion of expertise and best practices
• Personal and professional mentoring and coaching within the team
• Planning and conducting internal workshops and training sessions
• Ensuring the operation and further development of our security services
• Responsibility for managing security-related issues on Linux and Windows (e.g., hardening, compliance, auditing)
• Implementation and operation of Microsoft Defender for Linux/Windows and Trend Micro for Linux/Windows
• Development of Bash, PowerShell, and Python scripts for automating routine tasks, monitoring, and reporting
• Collaboration with internal teams on security analyses, risk assessments, and the implementation of appropriate measures
• Assistance with security incidents
• Management and Service Management of External Security Providers
• Assistance with security concepts, customer projects, incident and service requests

Your strengths and knowledge

• Several years of professional experience in IT security and the operation of security, vulnerability, and monitoring systems
• Completed studies in computer science, IT security or a comparable qualification
• Experience in managing staff and overseeing technical operations
• Experience in mentoring and coaching employees
• Extensive experience in Windows and Linux environments (Debian, RHEL, etc.)
• Strong knowledge of DevSecOps, as well as programming skills in Bash, PowerShell, and Python
• Basic understanding of modern web application security
• Practical experience with Syslog/SIEM/SOAR systems as well as IAM/PAM
• Experience with Defender and TrendMicro solutions is preferred
• Ability to work in a team, high level of initiative and structured way of working
• German and English spoken and written
