System Engineer - Storage & Virtualization

Your main tasks

• Planning, implementation, and operation of virtual infrastructures based on VMware vSphere, OLVM (Oracle Linux Virtualization Manager), and other hypervisor technologies
• Responsibility for backup and recovery solutions with Veeam Backup & Replication
• Monitoring and optimization of system performance, availability, and capacity
• Second- and third-level error analysis and troubleshooting
• Collaboration on projects related to virtualization and storage
• Documentation of system landscapes and configurations
• Design, installation, and maintenance of on-premises storage systems, ORIA Cloud

Your strengths and knowledge

• Several years of professional experience in system engineering, ideally in the areas of virtualization, storage, and backup
• In-depth knowledge of VMware, Hyper-V, OLVM, and common hypervisor environments
• Very good knowledge of Veeam Backup & Replication, VMCE, or VMCA is an advantage
• NetApp Storage ONTAP, StorageGRID
• Huawei storage expertise is a plus
• Understanding of IT infrastructure, networks, and security
• Experience in direct customer contact and on-site installations
• Knowledge of ticketing systems and monitoring tools
• Willingness to engage in continuous professional development and certification
• Very good knowledge of German, good written and spoken English
• Independent, structured, and reliable way of working with a passion for teamwork
