Your main tasks

• Engineering, operation and maintenance of customer infrastructures
• Competent customer support as part of client success management
• Collecting and analyzing customer needs and designing innovative solutions in close cooperation with the Sales and Solution Team
• Creating concepts for (customer) projects
• Realization of customer projects (migration / new installation / configuration)
• Independently analyzing faults and error states, initiating and monitoring measures to rectify them
• Maintaining technical system documentation and system overviews
• Pre- and after-sales support, support of the service teams and departments
• On-call service for our 7×24 customers

Your strengths and knowledge

• Experience in the operation and engineering of IBM i environments and the IBM Power platform (incl. HMC and PowerVM)
• You are familiar with all areas of the IBM i operating system (administration, work management, backup/recovery (BRMS), performance, security, CL programming, etc.).
• You work independently, on your own responsibility and take a results-oriented approach
• Fluent German and a good command of English round off your profile.

The following qualifications would be an advantage

• Programming languages ILE RPG, COBOL, JAVA etc.
• Knowledge of HA solutions such as iTera and MIMIX
• DB2 for i and SQL knowledge
• If you have already dealt with AIX, IBM Spectrum Protect, IBM Storage and SAN, this would be a good addition
