Senior Security Operations Engineer

We are looking for an experienced professional who takes the initiative, manages and further develops technical solutions, and can implement security measures in the day-to-day operations of an MSP in a pragmatic and effective manner.

Your main tasks

• Establishment, operation, and further development of our managed services in the area of security
• Responsibility for several of our managed services as a service owner or deputy based on products such as:
  
  • Microsoft Defender / Managed XDR
  • Trend Micro Vision One
  • FortiADC
  • Cloudflare WAF
  • Tenable Vulnerability Management
  • Netwrix Audit & Compliance
  • Updates and AV Management Using MECM (formerly SCCM)
• Independent implementation of internal security projects
• Advising and supporting our customers on security issues
• Analysis of security incidents; coordination and implementation of corrective measures
• Evaluation of New Security Technologies and Their Practical Feasibility
• Developing new security offerings in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders

Your strengths and knowledge

• You have solid hands-on experience and in-depth expertise in at least one of the following areas: Privileged Access Management (PAM), Identity & Access Management (IAM), EDR/XDR, vulnerability management, audit and syslog solutions, Web Application Firewalls (WAF), Cloudflare products, ISO 27001, and Linux and Windows security, including hardening.
• You work in an organized, independent, and solution-oriented manner.
• You identify risks early on and find practical and cost-effective solutions.
• You enjoy proactively improving existing processes and systems and taking on responsibility.
• You're passionate about building and driving new initiatives from concept to full-scale operation in collaboration with diverse teams.
• You have a very good command of German and a good command of English.
• Experience in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment is a plus.
• Knowledge of scripting, such as PowerShell or Python, is a plus.
