Your main tasks

• Architecture, Design, and Implementation of Complex Network and Security Solutions
• Responsibility for cloud network infrastructure and security, as well as for the networks of our managed service customers
• Comprehensive analysis of network infrastructures, as well as the identification and implementation of opportunities for optimization
• Configuration, maintenance, monitoring, and troubleshooting of complex network environments
• Participation in cross-team technical workgroups and representation of the team’s technical position
• Design and Further Development of Managed Services in the Network & Security Sector
• Conducting training sessions, workshops, and mentoring for network engineers
• Providing support to customers and partners, and ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty

Your strengths and knowledge

• Several years of professional experience in networking, ideally as a Professional Network Engineer
• Sound knowledge of TCP/IP networks and network protocols
• Extensive experience with network operating systems such as Cisco IOS, Huawei VRP, or Fortinet FortiOS
• In-depth knowledge of routing protocols such as BGP and OSPF
• In-depth knowledge of network security, such as firewalls, VPN, SD-WAN, and ZTNA
• Experience in the design, implementation, and further development of complex network and security solutions
• Project management and leadership experience, or a willingness to take on technical responsibilities
• Strong ability to solve problems independently, make decisions, and implement solutions in a structured manner
• Experience working with ticketing systems and handling complex customer issues
• Experience in automating network and operational processes (Ansible)
• Professional-level certifications in network engineering, such as CCNP and NSE7, are a plus
• Very good knowledge of German and good written and spoken English
• Strong communication and presentation skills, as well as a passion for teamwork and sharing knowledge
• An independent, reliable, and self-assured approach to work, with a holistic perspective on customers, technology, and operations
